On October 13, 2010, an alliance between the Discovery Channel and Quo science magazine (Mexico) had an event to celebrate "Quo+Discovery Minds." This is a nationwide search for the most innovative ideas and projects developed by Mexican citizens in the last 10 years.
For his work at NextLab, Jhonatan Rotberg was named the winner in the "Future Mind" category, which is about ideas and projects that best prospect future trends and forces - and are taking action to leverage them for the benefit of society. There were 10 winners nationwide in 10 different categories; Rotberg was one of them.
Awards were given out by Mexico's First Lady, and widely publicized by the national media. Rotberg was interviewed by 2 national networks and by Discovery Channel, which will be giving it exposure across all Latin America.
