Supply Chain Frontiers issue #52
The Design Anywhere, Make Anywhere, Deliver Anywhere conference organized by the Malaysia Institute for Supply Chain Innovation (MISI) will explore the future of supply chain management. The event will take place on March 20, 2014, on the MISI campus in Malaysia.
An unprecedented transformation in manufacturing is taking shape in which "personal factories" will likely underpin supply chains. How and when this will happen, and what supply chain models will be required, are questions that have yet to answered. For example, will there be a need for a central facilitator who owns product designs resulting from collective intelligence, how will the development of 3D printing and bio-manufacturing impact "make" decisions, and what will be the impact of drones on delivery?
These are some of the questions that will addressed by industry-leading experts at the conference.
